What changed on this site and when, newest first. Data corrections get an entry too — if we fixed a number, you can see that we fixed it. For the live freshness of every dataset, see The Data.

Gold & silver tools
A new hard-assets corner: live gold price per gram for every karat, a scrap gold calculator with realistic dealer-offer ranges, silver melt values for sterling and every common US silver coin, and a gold-vs-Bitcoin backtest over 55 years of price history — plus three guides on melt value, selling scrap and the inflation-hedge data.

Site-wide search
Every page now has a search box in the header (the magnifier icon) covering all calculators, guides, coin pages and data pages — 136 destinations. It loads nothing until you open it, so pages stay as fast as before.
-
The Data: a public freshness dashboard
A new page lists every dataset behind the calculators — its source, refresh cadence and as-of date, read straight from the data files at build time. When something is overdue for re-verification, the page says so with an amber badge instead of hiding it.
-
Per-coin average-down calculators
Ten coin-specific average-down pages (Bitcoin through Shiba Inu), each pre-filled with that coin's real bought-at-the-top scenario and a table showing how much adding $500/$1,000/$2,500 actually moves your break-even — and how much more money it puts at risk.
-
Guide: leverage and liquidation, with real BTC noise data
How far each leverage level sits from liquidation, checked against Bitcoin's last 365 daily moves — the 50× buffer was crossed on roughly 42% of days. High leverage doesn't lose to black swans; it loses to weather.
-
Futures PnL calculator
Leverage, fees on both sides, break-even exit and ROI on margin for linear perpetuals — with an honest warning when your exit price sits beyond your liquidation price, because that profit only exists on paper. Funding is deliberately not modeled; pretending to would be false precision.
-
Liquidation price calculator
Where liquidation sits for an isolated-margin position at any leverage — the optimistic baseline, with a plain note that real exchange triggers land closer once tiered maintenance and fees are counted.
-
Per-coin profit calculators
Ten coin-specific profit pages, each with real computed history: what a $1,000 entry one year ago, three years ago, and at the all-time-high month actually returned for that coin.
-
Inflation-adjusted Bitcoin returns
A new calculator (and US CPI data series) that restates any past BTC buy in purchasing-power terms. Headline finding: a November 2021 top-buy is up ~12% nominal but still down ~6% in real dollars.
-
Three data studies from our own datasets
Buying the Bitcoin top (lump vs DCA across all four cycle tops — DCA won three of four; 2013 was a lump win), the same $10,000 profit taxed in 10 countries (UK cheapest at ~11%, Italy dearest at 33%), and what fees really cost a 5-year monthly DCA buyer (up to $711 lost vs zero-fee). All computed at build time from the bundled data, so they refresh with it.
-
Risk toolkit: position size, take-profit ladder, fee comparison
Three pure-arithmetic utilities — how much to buy for a fixed risk, a scale-out ladder with proceeds-weighted average exit, and what different fee tiers cost round-trip. None of them predicts anything; you supply the levels, they do the math.
-
Crypto converter and 16 pair pages
Any-to-any converter across 101 coins and USD/EUR/GBP with live cross rates, plus curated pair pages with two-direction conversion tables and market stats.
-
Data verification pass on staking and yields
Every weak-source staking APY and stablecoin yield re-checked against live sources; 10 corrections applied — the biggest was Osmosis, cut from 10% to 2.3% after emissions tapered. Staking coverage capped at 46 coins on purpose rather than padded with junk.
-
CryptoSums goes live
Launched at cryptosums.com: 18 calculators on live market data, 13 guides, tax estimators for 10 countries, staking coverage for 35+ coins, full methodology, and a hard editorial rule — no predictions, no signals, no advice. Just the math.
